It’s Ability

“It’s Ability!” is a project supporting Ukrainian refugees in Germany, Lithuania, and Poland who care for family members with disabilities. Many face emotional burnout, isolation, and limited access to information or assistance as they adapt to life in a new country.

This initiative aims to make support more consistent, accessible, and effective. We research the needs of people with disabilities and their caregivers, offer guidance on integration and employment, and raise awareness about their challenges and strengths. We also bring together communities, experts, and local actors to create shared solutions.

Our goal is to ensure no one feels alone — and that caregiving becomes less of a burden through connection, understanding, and support.

The project runs from May 2025 to October 2026
